Islamabad: Holy month of Shaban will begin from tomorrow (Wednesday). Today Ruet-e-Hilal committee confirmed after sighting the crescent. Holy month of Shaban is 8th month in Islamic calendar.

Today, the Ruet-e-Hilal committee held a meeting in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad to sight the crescent of the blessed month of Shaban.

The holiest night of Shab-e-Barat, between the 14th (March 7) and 15th of Shaban, will be observed throughout the country to seek forgiveness from Allah. People will visit graveyards to say prayers at the graves of their loved ones, while special religious gatherings will be held nationwide. Muslims worldwide celebrate the night of the 15th Shaban by offering nawafil in mosques and making special prayers with religious fervor.
