BARKHAN: On Sunday, a bombing at the Rakhni market in Balochistan’s Barkhan district resulted in at least four fatalities and 12 injuries, according to authorities.
Police reports claim that the explosion happened as a result of the explosion of a device strapped to a motorcycle that was parked outside a barbershop.
According to Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Khosa, there are currently 12 injured people.
A security perimeter has been established, and an investigation is currently being conducted.
The rescue squad, on the other hand, transferred the injured to Rakni Hospital, where an emergency was declared. One person is reportedly in a critical condition, at least.
In addition to expressing his sympathies to the families of the victims, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif denounced the incident.
The premier has urged the relevant authorities to ensure that the injured receive the best medical care available and has ordered the provincial chief minister and the IG of Balochistan Police to submit a report of the occurrence.
In a statement, PM Shehbaz promised that “The terrorists will not be able to get away with this,” and that “an example will be made out of those guilty of taking innocent lives.”
Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has vehemently denounced the explosion.
He declared in his declaration of disapproval that terrorists will fail in their evil plans.
He also prayed for the souls of the deceased and offered condolences to the grieving families.
It should be mentioned that earlier this week, in separate operations in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, security forces killed 14 militants (K-P).
In the past three months, Pakistan’s security services have carried out several operations around the nation, arresting terrorists and their facilitators and thwarting a number of attacks. There were 3,414 operations carried out alone in Balochistan.
