Webdesk: T-Series appears to be delivering on its reputation. Another Pakistani tune is probably stolen by the famous Indian record label. Taher Shah’s baby.
Yes! Mast Aankhein, Bhushan Kumar, Tulsi Kumar, and Jubin Nautiyal’s latest, are inspired by Eye to Eye, which became a meme back home and made Shah a laughing stock before most listeners began to appreciate his individuality.
February 24’s song sounds like Shah’s Eye to Eye. It surprised Indian composer Mayur Jumani. The I’m Out creator noticed the resemblance in an Instagram video.
Afterward, Jumani stated, “I just heard this new song called Mast Aankhein on T-series and this is how Jubin Nautiyal appears in the video.” Nautiyal has long, curly hair and looks right at the camera with his sharp eyes.
“Am I the only one who feels the music is inspired from…” he asks before transposing the chorus of Eye to Eye over the T-Series tune. Wow! Was that baffling?
“Share this with your Gen-Z friends to expose them to the legend, Taher Shah,” Jumani wrote.
In Mast Aankhein’s song video, Shantanu Maheshwari wears white and Nautiyal wears black, like Shah’s Eye to Eye, where there are two Shahs. The chorus of Mast Aankhein says, “Aankh se aankh milao,” when Maheshwari falls for Shweta Sharda instead of him.
