FIR
On a separate development, Liaqat Ali, Bilal’s father, has submitted a request to the Race Course police to open a homicide investigation.
In the complaint, Bilal’s father has named Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, IG Dr. Usman Anwar, Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana, and two inspectors, in addition to 40 other police personnel, holding them responsible for the alleged murder of his son. He has also named IG Dr. Usman Anwar.
Mr. Ali said in the lawsuit that the police had arrested his son and physically abused him, which ultimately led to the murder of his son.
It is interesting to note that the killing of Bilal is also mentioned in the FIR that was filed against Imran Khan and other leaders and employees from the PTI.
As a result of this development, which was brought about by the filing of a complaint by a DSP who was injured in clashes with PTI workers near Mr. Khan’s residence, the complaint that was filed by Bilal’s father may not be taken up by the police. This is due to the fact that police typically do not register two separate cases over the same crime.
