Lahore: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmin Rashid and President Arif Alvi’s alleged audio leak surfaced about the ongoing police operation at Zaman Park on Wednesday.

The audio came out after police left the house of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

The police acted because the court had told the government to bring the former prime minister to court in the Toshakhana case. At least 54 police got injured during the operation.

In the second recording of the day to be leaked, a woman thought to be Yasmin Rashid could be heard talking to President Alvi about how things were getting worse outside Zaman Park.

Rashid is said to have asked the president to talk to someone during the phone call because the situation is getting out of hand and could cause the deaths of several workers and police officers.

“People who work for the party have started throwing Molotov cocktails, and things are very bad. I need you to talk to someone before there’s any more fighting “In the audio that got out, she could be heard.

Transcript of Alleged call

Rashid: “Sir, things aren’t going well here.”

Dr. Alvi: “Yes, without a doubt.”

Rashid: “The people who work for us have started to throw Molotov cocktails. I think you need to talk to someone and step in before someone gets hurt.”

Dr Alvi: “I have talked.”

Rashid: “Tell Khan sahab that you will talk to him and try to figure things out.”

“I don’t know what you mean,” said Dr. Alvi.

Rashid: “Sir, the situation right now is that people may die and some police officers will also die. Things will get so bad that the elections will have to be put off. This was the point.”

Dr Alvi: “Okay.”

Rashid: “I think you should tell him (Khan sahab) to stop fighting and try again another day. This is what I think, and you can decide what to do next. He is not going to give up.
