Islamabad: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said that his country is looking forward to going to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) summit in China this fall.
The foreign minister told the state-run CGTN that he will attend the upcoming summit. He said that he is optimistic about the relationship between China and Pakistan.
One of its global infrastructure projects is in Pakistan. BRI is the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which connects China to the Arabian Sea. China has helped Pakistan with its economic problems by putting in more than $60 billion so far.
Peter Szijjarto, Hungary’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, is also excited about joining the BRI summit. He said, “It benefits all countries that work together in the framework.”
Bilawal told us that “We will, of course, take part in the BRI summit. Pakistan has the China-Pakistan economic corridor, which has made a lot of progress over time. I’m looking forward to being able to take part in a summit like this. I tell the world what we’ve done so far and what we hope to do together in the future.”
I think it will keep getting better and better, as it has done throughout our history “added Bilawal.
The minister of Hungary said that his country is building strong economic ties with China, with BRI projects being a top priority.
He also said, “This is now one of the most important global and multilateral projects that help those who work together in this framework to move forward.”
