Horacio Llorens flies like a Supernova at PSL closing ceremony.

LAHORE: The eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will end on a high note that viewers will see in the sky. At the PSL Closing Ceremony in Lahore, Red Bull paragliding and paramotor athlete Horacio Llorens flew from Multan to Lahore.

After the pyrotechnics and ceremonies, the presenter introduced a surprise act. A video showed Llorens flying from Multan Cricket Stadium to Lahore with a surprise delivery.

While, Llorens flew above Pakistan and provided us a new perspective. He flew over Badshahi Mosque, Minar-e-Pakistan, and Lahore Fort. As shown, the paramotor athlete crossed the Ravi River.

As the film ended, the audience witnessed Llorens paramotoring above the stadium, much to their delight.

Afterward, Llorens, a five-time world champion and Guinness World Record holder, delivered the surprise package-carrying Supernova, the PSL 8 Trophy, from Multan to Lahore.

Afterward, The first paramotor stunt on a cricket stadium in PSL history was seen by thousands in attendance and millions on TV. Llorens also paramotored across cities for the first time.

Moreover, Llorens expressed his delight at returning to Pakistan in a Red Bull Pakistan Instagram video. “Hello, I am Horacio Llorens, a professional paragliding pilot, and I’m back here in Pakistan,” he said, standing out in a Pakistani street full of people. “It’s gorgeous. I’m making you something unique. Enjoy.”

He closed the short video by saying he must eat a “spicy” Pakistani supper before the “special project”.

Profile

Spanish paraglider and paramotor athlete Llorens has 20 years of experience. He set world and Pakistani records. Red Bull athlete established a world record in Pakistan last summer. Llorens and Belgian paraglider Tom de Dorlodot flew across Pakistan’s four highest mountain ranges in seven hours. They flew above K2, Muztagh Tower, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum IV, and returning to base camp.

Flying Between Giants, a 30-minute short documentary, follows their month-long journey leading up to, during, and after their trip to the second-highest peak in the world.
