Webdesk: Rajkummar Rao will co-star with Dia Mirza in Bheed. Anubhav Sinha is in charge of the project. Rajkummar was recently asked what makes a hit film, and he replied, “Word of mouth.”
“Especially for a medium-budget film, if you don’t give them a big canvas experience, you have to give them (the audience) something different,” he said in an interview with The Indian Express. It must be something interesting for the audience. Only then can you discuss a film. Right now, I believe the only PR available is word of mouth.”
He went on to say, “If a film like Kantara can travel the entire country… I could be sitting in Mumbai when ten people ask me if I’ve seen Kantara. People had to talk about the film because it was so good, so I went to see it. That is the best public relations strategy… Make a good movie and let the word spread.”
He also emphasised that language is no longer a limiting factor in making a good film. “If a film like Kantara can travel the entire country…,” he said. I could be sitting in Mumbai when ten people ask me if I’ve seen Kantara. People had to talk about the film because it was so good, so I went to see it. That is the best PR strategy… Make a good movie and let the word spread.”
