Webdesk: Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Brigadier Mustafa Kamal Barki martyred in a firefight with terrorists. It happened near the Angoor Adda area of South Waziristan on Tuesday, a statement from ISPR said. During firefight seven other soldiers hurt.
According to the military’s media branch, the two’s condition is serious.
“Brigadier Barki and his team fought bravely against the terrorists during the encounter,” the ISPR said. “The officer gave his life for the peace of the motherland.”
It also said that Pakistan’s defence forces and intelligence agencies had promised to reaffirm. They promised to show that they will get rid of the threat of terrorism.
Earlier yesterday, the ISPR also confirmed that three soldiers were martyred in Dera Ismail Khan in a firefight with terrorists.
The ISPR says that on the night of March 20-21, terrorists opened fire on a police checkpoint near Khutti.
The ISPR said that as soon as the security forces heard about the terrorist attack, they cordoned off the area.
It also said that the terrorists who were running away were caught near Saggu.
The ISPR says that during a gun battle between terrorists and security forces in South Waziristan’s Zinghara area last week, two children also became victims and two soldiers were hurt.
