Ramadan 2023: No loadshedding during sehr, iftar, and taraweeh.

ISLAMABAD: Following the orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Ministry of Energy declared that there will be no loadshedding. This relief will be during sehr, iftar, and taraweeh during the month of Ramadan.

PM Shehbaz has ordered an uninterrupted supply of electricity during the month of Ramadan. Prompting the ministry to give directions to power distribution companies.

The ministry has urged the DISCOS to ensure the availability of energy during sehri, iftar, and taraweeh. “There will be zero load management an hour before and after sehr. While, one hour before iftar and three hours after,” the document continued.

Also, They are going to establish Control rooms at the operation circle level to assure a continuous power supply. Moreover, They will form division and subdivision-level teams to address the complaints of the people.

In the event that a transformer fails to function, other transformers and trolleys will be available, according to the document.

Today (Wednesday) in Peshawar, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will convene for the Ramadan ul Mubarak 1444 AH moon.
