Webdesk: Tuesday, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hina Pervaiz Butt posted an image of herself in front of a laptop, which sparked a Twitter uproar.
Hina uploaded the image to indicate that she had passed the Graduate Record Exams and will be “resuming her student life by beginning her MPhil in Education.”
Shahbaz Gill of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rushed the gun by quoting retweeting the post labelling her a “liar.”
“The GRE cannot be taken from home. Applicants required to take the exam at designated examination locations; home-based modelling not permitted.” Gill continued by saying:
Nevertheless, Gill forced to eat his words back as she responded to the former prime minister’s special assistant.
I admitted to the MPhil programme after passing the GRE. Uploading a photo not necessarily indicate taking the exam at the time the photo taken. You should have consulted with someone prior to tweeting.”
Gill responded once more by correcting Butt, indicating that the exchange would continue. One does not pass or fail the GRE, but instead receives a percentile score.
