Islamabad ATC bails Amjad Niazi, 63 other PTI workers in Judicial Complex violence case.

Islamabad: The Anti-Terrorism Court granted bail to PTI chairman Imran Khan’s aide Amjad Khan Niazi and 63 other party workers. Its in a case involving violence outside the Federal Judicial Complex on March 18. Clashes between police and PTO workers occurred when the former prime minister appeared there for a court hearing.

ATC judge Raja Jawad Abbasi accepted the PTI leaders’ request and instructed them to submit surety bonds worth Rs50,000.

Once the former prime minister came at the FJC on Saturday to attend a hearing in the Toshakhana case. There were reports of hours-long skirmishes between PTI workers and the capital police.

The PTI used rocks against the police alongside petrol bombs to set their vehicles on fire.

According to the Islamabad police, dozens of officials injured in the clashes a large number of vehicles torched.

Eventually, Imran and a number of PTI leaders — including Amjad — booked in terrorism cases.

In addition, the Islamabad police announced on Wednesday that they have arrested more than 300 PTI supporters on charges of “incitement, arson, vandalism, and attacks on police.”
