Webdesk: Model-turned-actor Saheefa Jabbar Khattak has always spoken out about her mental health. The Bhool actress recently discussed her difficulty to keep up with the “marathon” that gives individuals “no respite”.
Khattak posted a “warning signs of burnout” video on her Instagram Story on Thursday. She described feeling the same way for weeks with the clip.
“The previous three weeks have been incredibly tough for me. Everything looks to work so fast, I see no relaxation,” said Log Kya Kahenge actor. “Some of us are unwillingly members of a race.”
She advised her followers to prioritise self-care and avoid negativity. “Take good care of yourself, eliminate all those individuals from your life who don’t bring you joy or tranquilly. Take a break when needed and just believe everything will be alright,” Khattak recommended.
In recent years, celebrities including Hania Aamir, Momina Mustehsan, Humaima Malick, Imran Abbas, and Mawra Hocane have spoken out about their mental health struggles to raise awareness and normalise talks.
Yashma Gill discussed her depression in 2022 to promote awareness. Gill posted a lengthy note on Instagram, saying, “I’ve talked about this before, talking about it again and will keep talking about it till it doesn’t become normal. As someone who has had first-hand experience of depression, panic attacks, and anxiety so severe, I can’t stress enough about the importance of reaching out and seeking help.”
Moreover, She stressed that depression is not sadness. “Depression is gloomy, hollow, emotionally exhausting, and can take a toll on your logical thinking leaving you despairing,” she said.
