ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Tuesday that the coalition government’s one-year mandate restored Pakistan’s credibility and solved financial and energy problems.

On a Twitter thread, he stated, “I can inform people that over the last year, we have largely succeeded in establishing Pakistan’s credibility as a partner and friend.

“Today marks the completion of one year since I took oath as PM of a coalition government,” PM Shehbaz said, sharing the PDM-led government’s scorecard. It’s hard.

“Persistence made it possible,” he said.

The premier dubbed the no-confidence motion against former prime minister Imran Khan’s administration “unprecedented” because almost all political parties united to vote out PTI constitutionally.

Moreover, After April 2022, PM Shehbaz said politics’ about healing and cooperation, not retribution.

Pakistan’s economy survived Imran Khan’s economic landmines and global petrol and food shortages.

“All default predictions failed. Sincerely reviving the economy, he said.

PM Shehbaz said the coalition administration has sought to repair Pakistan’s diplomatic relations after the “Niazi regime” harmed them.

“The decisiveness with which the government undertook rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts, provided social protection to millions of people and mobilised international community acknowledged by the world as outstanding.” The premier mentioned last year’s floods.

While, Climate diplomacy promoted Pakistan: PM

G77+China Chair established the loss and damage fund. “Pledges of US$9 billion at Geneva moot show our successful diplomacy,” he said.

Moreover, The prime minister said the coalition government diversified the energy mix in a year to serve citizens.

To replace expensive power sources, solar, hydel, and coal power plants prioritised.

Minister Shehbaz attributed global inflation to geo-strategic rivalries, rising fuel and food prices, and catastrophic floods.

He said the government increased the social safety net and targeted subsidies “mindful of its impact”.

He said the PDM government’s inter-ministerial coordination and military aid got Pakistan off the FATF grey list.

Islamabad’s public transport infrastructure has been the government’s priority since April 2018.

“Idea was to provide ease, comfort, and affordable mobility,” he said.
