ISLAMABAD: According to a report, Eid holidays are likely to extended, and a decision expected soon.
If authorised, the holidays will run from Thursday, April 20 to Tuesday, April 25.
The Ministry of Interior announced five-day holidays from April 21 (Friday) to April 25 (Tuesday) earlier this week. A notification was also published in this regard.
According to the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council (RHRC), Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated across the country this year on Saturday, April 22. As a result, Friday, April 21 will be Jumat ul Widah.
The committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 20, in order to observe the Shawwal moon.
The moon set to be born on Thursday, April 20, at 9:13 a.m. Pakistan time, according to astronomers.
The moon’s age at sunset on the evening of Ramazan 29th should be more than 19 hours for seeing. However, it will be less than 10 hours in all areas of Pakistan.
The time difference between sunset and moonset will be 21 minutes in Peshawar, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Charsadda, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Quetta, and Jiwani, and 20 minutes in Lahore and Karachi.
