Webdesk: Before the controversial movie The Kerala Story comes out, the Indian state of Tamil Nadu has been put on high alert.
“Some groups have called for protests,” a government official said in secret. Our intelligence service has been paying attention to what they say on social media.”
“In a few districts, some Islamic groups have also gone to the police to ask for a ban. But it is not against the law. Even Kerala hasn’t made it illegal. “We have, however, told all law enforcement agencies to stay on high alert,” the official said.
The official also said, “The intelligence officers haven’t given us any advice like that, and the government hasn’t decided anything about it.”
After the trailer for the film came out, the Muslim clerical body went to court to ask that the release of the controversial film be stopped.
The people who filed the complaints said that the movie insults all Muslims and that letting it out could put their way of life at risk. The petitioners also say that the characters in the movie don’t look like any real people, either alive or dead.
HindustanTimes says that on Wednesday, the Supreme Court said that it won’t listen to any complaints that want to stop the release of The Kerala Story.
On May 5, The Kerala Story will come out.
