LONDON: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif accused former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar of being a “agent” of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during his time on the Supreme Court.

The premier stated that ex-CJP’s son Najam Saqib’s audio leak implicates him in a scheme to install PTI chairman Khan.

While, The son of the former chief justice discussed Punjab election tickets with PTI candidate Abuzar Chadhar.

Moreover, In London for King Charles III’s coronation, PM Shehbaz spoke to press. The prime minister visited his brother and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif.

Moreover, The premier said Nisar had helped disqualify the PML-N supremo on unsubstantiated and fraudulent claims. He waged a spiteful campaign against their party to put Khan into power through a rigged election he presided over.

PM Shehbaz said ex-apex court chief justice used suo motu notices for personal and political gain.

The prime minister claimed that the audio leak of the former CJP’s son proves that Nisar was participating in a scheme to install the PTI head.

He added that the House committee had questioned the ex-chief justice and his son about the Rs120 million ticket sale.

“Parliament will rule at all costs.”

While, PM Shehbaz declared that elections will held on the same day and parliament will assert its authority at all costs.

One day for elections. Punjab once thought as the biggest province. Equal provinces. “One-day Punjab elections are bad for Pakistan,” he stated.

Moreover, The premier stated that parliament has one voice and will preserve its constitutional rights.

“Parliament will exercise its authority within its bounds. It unites. “Parliament will assert its legal remit,” he said.

‘Khan-led party plays everything’

PM Shehbaz further criticised the PTI for creating “controversy” over Pakistan’s participation in the SCO moot in India, saying that for the Khan-led party, “everything” is a “plaything”.

“It is deeply troubling how the PTI tried to generate controversy around Pakistan’s participation in the SCO meeting in India,” the premier tweeted a day after Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari returned from India.

The prime minister claimed it was not “surprising” because his predecessor “had no qualms about imperilling the country’s vital foreign policy interests in the past”.

“This was their rule. “Everything—including interstate relations—is a plaything for the PTI,” tweeted the premier.
