The ‘inadmissible’ plea Bushra Bibi Nikah filed against Imran Khan.

ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad district and sessions court declined the petition challenging the Nikah of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran and Bushra Bibi.

According to the court, the application was “inadmissible” and fell outside of its jurisdiction because it involved the case of Nikah during iddat, which is the waiting period observed by Muslim women following the divorce or death of their spouse.

Senior Civil Judge Nasrum Minallah announced the case’s verdict, which withheld during today’s hearing.

The attorney for the petitioner, Raja Rizwan Abbasi, argued why Khan remarried Bushra Bibi if their previous union valid. He asserted that iddat marriage was “illegal.”

In continuation of his argument, he stated, “It is a lie to claim that if you marry on January 1, 2018, you will become prime minister.” “During the month of January in 2018, Bushra Bibi was in iddat. “The separation occurred in November,” Abbasi added.

The wedding of Imran Khan took place in Lahore. The judge inquired, “How does this court have jurisdiction?”

The attorney replied that the fraud began in Bani Gala, Islamabad, and that the Nikah officiant also removed from Islamabad. In February of 2018, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi renewed their Nikkah.
