Indian goals include GHQ attack: Khawaja Asif

SIALKOT: Khawaja Asif said that India’s anti-Pakistan goals included the attack on GHQ.

“May 9 attacked Pakistan’s existence.” “Imran Khan made this attack just for his power,”. Asif remarked at a PML-N gathering in Sialkot to show support for the military.

He regretted how the families and heirs of the martyred felt when vandals desecrated religious sites. “I never doubt anyone’s loyalty but I doubt the intentions of those who led the attacks on May 9,” Asif stated.

The minister lay a flower wreath on the martyrs’ graves in Chawinda’s Yadgar-e-Shuhada before offering fatiha.

He said they visited the martyrs monument to remember their valour in defeating Indian army.

“I pay tribute to those who sacrificed [their lives] to defend the country,” Asif remarked.

He said a political leader was attacking Pakistan’s military in the current situation.

“They are including external elements in targeting the armed forces,” he stated, encouraging the public to show their love for the army and forget May 9.

Asif stated the Pakistan Army was still strong like a mountain, and courageous men were dying for the country.

He said the nation ought to unite to honour Pakistani forces’ sacrifices.

“These people want to come into power again,” he added.

May 9 demonstrations

Khan arrested at the Islamabad High Court on May 9 for multiple matters outstanding since his ouster last year, sparking nationwide protests.
