NA approves military trial for May 9 rioters.

Islamabad: Following the arrest of Imran Khan earlier this month, the National Assembly on Monday passed a resolution to condemn the “shameless incidents”. That occurred on May 9 and to express solidarity with the armed forces. This came in the wake of attacks on martyrs’ monuments and defence installations almost everywhere in the country.

Moreover, The decision made by the civil-military leadership to try the rioters under applicable laws of the country. Including the Pakistan Army Act, supported by the resolution that introduced by the Minister of Defence, Khawaja Asif.

It stated that the lower chamber of parliament “vehemently condemned the shocking. As well as brazen, heart-wrenching, and shameless incidents which took place on the 9th May 2023 in certain parts of the country.”

Additionally, the house reaffirmed its unwavering confidence in, as well as its unwavering solidarity and support for, Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
