Webdesk: After social media bullies called Taylor Lautner “old broccoli,” he won’t stay silent.
The Twilight star addressed the “did not age well” criticisms on a mental health post on Instagram.
“I ran. “I was feeling really good about myself, trying to stay healthy both physically and mentally,” he remarked at the start of the video. “And I felt compelled to share something with you because I hopped on Instagram after that run.”
“If this was 10 years ago, five years ago, maybe even two, three years ago, that really would have got under my skin,” Lautner said. “I wanted to hide in a hole.”
He stated he is in a “different place” and no longer concentrates on “wrong things.”
“You find value where you put it,” he added. “If you put your value in what other people think of you, that’s how you’ll feel.”
But if you value knowing who you are, what’s important to you, and what you enjoy, that won’t bother you.
“My biggest point is just think about and remember where you put your value in life, and be nice. It’s easy. Be polite. Spread love. It’s easy.”
Lautner’s wife, Taylor Lautner, commented, “‘It doesn’t make me question who I am,'” adding, “God I love you.”
“People need to realise the weight of their words and it doesn’t help that there’s often no accountability when it comes to social media,” Clayton Echard said.
He said, “You sharing will help others understand the power of their words and maybe next time, they’ll reconsider before hitting send.”
