Webdesk: Nick Cannon advised his children to pursue non-entertainment careers so no one could say they had it easy because of their famous father.
The 42-year-old Daily Cannon presenter told Entertainment Tonight that he encourages his 12 children to think “outside the box” while picking careers.
“Out of all my kids, I’m like, if they want to be in entertainment, that’s fine, but that’s almost easy,” Cannon stated when asked if his children nepotistic.
“I want you to do something challenging, go outside the box, so you can see effort and perseverance and those things, because they’re a nepo baby,” he said.
Kids have benefits. “You’re just like, ‘Oh, this is natural,'” he said, adding that he loves his kids to do non-musical activities.
I adore seeing my kids play sports since it’s unrelated. “How hard you work is how you succeed in that space,” he remarked.
“Having fun with friends will teach them those cool principles.” I want athletes. I want to be that dad on the sidelines cheering them on. Again, accountants or equestrians are fine with me.”
The TV personality has twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey, twin sons Zion and Zillion, and 6-month-old daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa.
Cannon fathered Rise Messiah, Golden Sagon, and Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell and Legendary Love with Selling Sunset’s Bre Tiesi.
He also has Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott and Onyx Ice with former Price Is Right model LaNisha Cole.
He added that he buys musical equipment for his kids.
