Karachi: Minister Abdul Qadir Patel said former prime minister Imran Khan’s medical report showed high alcohol intake, no leg fracture, and unstable mental condition.

Patel informed Karachi media about the former prime minister’s medical report after examined at PIMS hospital after his detention on May 9.

The health minister called the report a “public document” before discussing it at the press conference.

Khan said he fractured his foot after the November 3 assassination attempt, but the report does not mention it.

“He [Imran Khan] had a plaster on his foot for about five to six months, however, the medical report did not indicate any fracture,” he continued.

The minister claimed the PTI chief’s urine sample also taken. The initial assessment showed hazardous components and heavy alcohol and drug use.

The assessment also noted Khan’s mental state, saying his mannerisms and body language are “not those of a fit man”.

“The report stated that a person with stable mental health does not make these kinds of gestures,” he remarked.

“I also used to say that Imran Khan’s mental condition seems not well,” Patel added, adding that the PTI leader has ended political civility, tolerance, and respect for others.

Patel added that Khan’s medical report contradicts him. “Imran Khan’s report did not indicate any fracture, but [consumption of] powder,” he added.

The health minister stated the police will receive the complete report. “Whatever Khan is doing can only done by an agent or a madman,” he claimed.

Patel said a five-member panel of prominent doctors questioned his mental stability.

The minister stated May 9’s events were unprecedented since 1971. “We also had differences but stood with the army when times were tough.”
