Webdesk: Kajol played Zooni, a blind girl, in the movie Fanaa. As the movie’s 17th anniversary approaches, she thinks back on the time they shot on a frozen lake in Poland.
Kajol recently wrote on Instagram about how she wore a chiffon saree while shooting a song while Aamir Khan, who played Rehan, wore a thick jacket.
The Dilwale star wrote, “On the first day of filming in Poland, it was -27 degrees centigrade, and I was wearing a thin chiffon salwar kameez on a frozen lake. The wind chill factor made it feel even colder… On the other hand, #AamirKhan had bought himself a nice, thick jacket from the local market just for the shoot.”
Fanaa came out in 2006, and Kunal Kohli directed it. Yash Raj Films put it together. The movie was a romantic tale about Zooni and Rehan, who were in love with each other. Different places, like Malaysia, Kashmir, and Poland, were used to film the movie.
Kajol also said that filming was hard, but it was worth it. She said, “So his face didn’t hurt like mine did because it was frozen!” And to top it all off, when we got back to Mumbai, the whole song was thrown out and we had to start over! #17YearsOfFanaa.”
Kajol’s role in the movie was praised, and she was nominated for several awards. In 2007, she got the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
