Webdesk: Angela Bassett shared the last words that the late singer Tina Turner said to her as a way to honour her.
The Black Panther actor wrote on Instagram, “How do we say goodbye to a woman who took responsibility for her pain and trauma and used it to help change the world?”
Moreover, She continued, “Tina Turner showed people who lived in fear what a beautiful future full of love, compassion, and freedom should look like by being brave enough to tell her story, by staying the course in her life no matter what, and by working hard to make a place in rock and roll for herself and other people who look like her.
“Her last words to me were. “You never tried to be me. “Instead, you dug deep into your soul, found your inner Tina, and showed her to the world,” the star said.
“These words will stay with me for the rest of my life. I’m glad that I got to know Tina Turner. I’m proud to have helped the world see her.”
While, In the 1993 movie What’s Love Got to Do With It, which was based on Turner’s life and work, Bassett played the Queen of Rock and Roll.
