Lahore: In a bid to strengthen their workforce, the Department of Prisons has recently released a newspaper advertisement calling for applications to fill vacant positions for warders in various jail facilities. A total of 624 positions are up for grabs, including both male and female warders.
According to the advertisement, the Department of Prisons is seeking to recruit 616 male warders. Applicants for these position should aged between 18 and 28 years, and willing to serve in challenging environments. The job falls under the basic scale seven, offering employment opportunities for men with a range of skills and experiences. Interested candidates should possess a secondary school certificate as a minimum educational requirement. And those who meet the physical standards, encouraged to apply.
Simultaneously, the Department has also announced eight vacancies specifically for female warders. The department recognizes the importance of a diverse workforce and is keen to enhance gender representation within their ranks. Female candidates applying for the warden position will also be recruited under the basic scale seven, ensuring equal opportunities for both genders.
