After ‘bitter’ talk, Qureshi once again met PTI chairman: sources

Shah Mehmood Qureshi

Lahore: Sources said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi met with party leader Imran Khan again. Their first meeting ended in a fight, so this was their second.

It was Qureshi’s second meeting with the PTI leader since he was freed last week.

In the last meeting, the ex-foreign minister had suggested that his boss take a break for now, leave the country, or at least keep quiet if he didn’t want to leave.

As a result of the violent protests on May 9, when PTI workers attacked military sites like the Lahore Corps Commanders House and the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi after their leader arrested, PTI has feeling the heat of the state’s power.

During the crackdown, a lot of party workers and leaders put in jail. Because of this, many workers and leaders left their boss, which caused the party to fall apart quickly and put more pressure on the cricketer-turned-politician.

Sources said that during their last meeting, the former PM got angry with Qureshi. Sources claimed that both had some heated words.

But they have met again and talked about what they can do to get the workers out of jail.

Sources said that the PTI leaders also talked about how politics are going right now.
