ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi asked political leaders and the nation to unite for growth and prosperity.
At the flag hoisting ceremony in Islamabad, President evoked Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s message of unity, religion, and discipline.
“Pakistan can become a developed country in a short span of time if correct decisions are made,” Alvi remarked, optimistically.
He also asked politicians and other stakeholders to forgive, citing the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
Alvi stated national redemption depends in accepting Islam’s essential values—meritocracy, justice, and rejection of nepotism—especially in socioeconomic matters.
President stated combating poverty requires mass education and health. As 27 million youngsters out of school, he advised stakeholders to boost enrolment.
The President stated, “A high growth rate can only achieved with greater participation of women in economic activities.”
He praised Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for changing the world and creating a country, praising the sacrifices made to achieve independence.
The President stated military forces and residents had sacrificed over 100,000 lives in the war on terrorism.
Moreover, The President condemned rising Islamophobia in western countries, saying Islam is a religion of peace and Muslims love their holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and the Holy Quran.
While, President reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmir cause and called on the international community to help people in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Alvi said Kashmir will join Pakistan soon if this matter isresolved according to UNSC Resolutions.
President Pakistan thanked Saudi Arabia, the UAE, China, Iran, and Turkiye for their support during difficult times.
The President raised the flag.
