Webdesk: Bayern Munich won their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title as Dortmund conceded to Mainz on the final day.
Dortmund’s ambitions dashed in the first half of the pivotal final match, where they led Bayern by two points. Mainz led 2–0, and Dortmund’s Sebastian Haller missed a penalty. Dortmund scored a stoppage-time equalizer through Niklas Sule to level 2-2, but time ran out.
Moreover, Bayern went to Cologne and Kingsley Coman scored in the first 10 minutes. Dortmund briefly led the title race after Cologne midfielder Dejan Ljubicic’s late penalty. Bayern’s Jamal Musiala scored in the 89th minute to secure a 2-1 win and the 33rd German top-flight title.
