Caretaker IT minister requests advice

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Umar Saif, who was just sworn in as acting Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecom, took to Twitter on Thursday to ask people what they thought about his time in office.

“I turned down a job with the government for a long time, but today I took an oath as the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecom in the caretaker government,” Saif wrote.
Moreover, He went on to say, “Thank you for your love, help, and wishes. Serving the country at this important time is a big honour. It is the key to getting Pakistan’s economy back on track, digitising systems and processes, cutting down on crime, and making life easier for people.
Certainly, I want to pick up at PITB where I left off a few years ago. Please tell me what you think I should do in the short time I will be in charge of the caretaker government.

Who is Omer Saif

Umar Saif is a well-known person in the IT world. He is the CEO of aiSight.ai and holds a number of other leadership roles. His academic background and jobs as a consultant show how much he cares about making technology better. The Jang Group’s Chief Digital Officer and the CEO of Khudi Ventures. He also works as a consultant in Pakistan for the United Nations Development Programme. At the age of 22, Saif got his PhD from the University of Cambridge.
