Lahore: PTI claimed that their worker, Ali Bilal died under police custody during the standoff on Wednesday at Zaman Park. Meanwhile, closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage surfaced has called into question the assertion.

Two persons shifted the worker’s body to the hospital in a black 4×4. They escorted him to the emergency room as seen in the video. Afterward, Doctor declared Ali Bilal dead.

Also, the video demonstrated that the two guys who had delivered the body fled once the doctor confirmed the PTI employee’s demise. The people who brought Bilal to the hospital have also become more aware of the images.

Committee Formed

Police formed a two-member committee to probe in Bilal’s death, according to a statement.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Imran Kashore and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Elite Force Sadiq Ali are part of the committee.

According to the law enforcement organization, the inquiry committee will record the testimony of the witnesses. It will deliver its findings to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Punjab in three days.

Yesterday, Ali Bilal lost his life during police clashes outside Zaman Park. Several members of the party as well as police personnel sustain injuries. According to PTI leaders, the government is to responsible for the death of a party member.

According to the Services Hospital administration, the cause of death has not yet been determined.

The Punjab Police supplied information about their injured employees in the interim. The PTI mob “attacked” 11 police personnel, including two deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) and one station house officer (SHO), according to the Capital City Police Lahore, who posted about it on Twitter.
