Lahore: Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid on Sunday. Almost a year after Imran Khan ceremonially fired him as governor of Punjab (PML-Q)
Sarwar announced his inclusion after meeting with the party’s leader, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
According to the sources, Chaudry Sarwar got invitations to join Peoples Party (PPP) and the PML-Q earlier in January.
Sources said that Chaudhry Shujaat met with the former governor twice and invited him to join his party.
Former governor decided to join the PML-Q two days ago, but he didn’t to say anything about it until today.
During a press conference, the politician said, “I was asked to join the Pakistan Muslim League.” He also said that his first goal would be to “strengthen the party.”
Sarwar was unhappy with the way politics were going in the country at the moment. He said, “Politicians are not willing to sit together even when things are hard.”
He also said that politicians work for power when they are in the Opposition, but no one thinks about what they have to do when they get to the office.
Presser
The former governor of Punjab talked about his thoughts on the Pakistan Democratic Movement-led government in Islamabad. He said that PDM will have to take strong economic steps.
Sarwar said that he chose the university’s vice-chancellor based on his qualifications when he talked about what he did while he was governor.
After he was kicked out of his job as governor last year, the politician criticized the leadership of his old party, calling its story about a “foreign conspiracy” a lie.
But he promised to support Khan, even though he had some doubts.
“On one side was the prime minister, and on the other was the PTI as a whole. Bribery has reached the lowest levels, but we promised to stand with Khan “he added.
