Chaudhry Shujaat Returns as Unopposed PML-Q President

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has once again been elected unopposed as the president of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) in the party’s intra-party elections.

Held during the central general council session, the elections also saw Tariq Hasan chosen unopposed as Secretary General. Chaudhry Salik Hussain was appointed Senior Vice President, while Chaudhry Shafay Hussain was named General Secretary for Punjab. Dr. Muhammad Amjad was elected Chief Organizer and Ghulam Mustafa Malik as Central Information Secretary.

The session also condemned terrorism in Pakistan, as well as human rights violations in Kashmir and Palestine. Tribute was paid to the armed forces, Rangers, and police.

In his address, Chaudhry Shujaat stated, “The Quran is our manifesto. We must practice politics rooted in service, truth, and humility.”
