Webdesk: Cher, a famous singer, talked about her last times with her friend Tina Turner and said that “she was really happy” right before she died.
In an interview with MSNBC, Cher said, “I started going to see her because I thought, ‘I need to put this time into our friendship so she knows we haven’t forgotten her.'”
“So we all took turns going to see her and spending time with her, which made her happy,” she said.
“[Turner] said, ‘I can’t waste too much time.'” Cher went on. “Then, five hours later, we couldn’t stop laughing…Even though she was very sick and didn’t want anyone to know it, she was having a good time.
The singer’s death is still being investigated, but she had been sick for a long time. She was told she had high blood pressure in 1978, and in 2013 she had a stroke.
Cher said this about her friend’s bravery: “But I know, near the end, she told me once, ‘I’m really ready. I just don’t want to take this any longer,”
During the 1970s, Cher and “The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” played together a lot. Turner was being abused by her first husband, Ike, when she met her second husband.
Cher said of their relationship, “She sometimes gave me a lot of strength, and I gave her a lot of strength, too.”
