Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir and China’s State Councillor Wang Yi both said on Friday that the two countries’ militaries must work closely together to keep the area safe.
Moin ul Haque, who works for Pakistan in China, talked about what said at the meeting.
Moreover, The envoy wrote, “The two sides reaffirmed the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan and emphasised the importance of their strong defence cooperation for peace and stability in the region.”
Gen. Asim Munir is in China for four days to improve military ties between the two countries.
On Wednesday, the head of the army met with the head of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at the PLA Headquarters. He stressed again how important it was to keep peace and security in the area.
The COAS given a guard of respect when he arrived, and he later looked over a smartly dressed group.
In his long talk with the PLA leader, General Asim Munir talked about the “regional security situation.”
The ISPR said that both leaders also talked about improving cooperation between the two militaries.
