Webdesk: Deepika Padukone, a Bollywood star who has been open about her own battles with mental illness, recently went on Instagram to talk about Dwayne Johnson’s admission that he has depression.

In a recent interview, the star of the movie Jumanji, Dwayne Johnson, talked about how hard it for him to deal with the sadness that came and went throughout his life. Dwayne also said that when he first depressed, he didn’t know that its a mental disease.

Padukone has been open about her struggles with depression, and in 2015 she said she sad. Since then, she has worked to get rid of the stigma that surrounds mental health problems and therapy.

On her Instagram story, she shared a post by a media site that showed Dwayne’s words from his interview with The Pivot podcast: “I didn’t know what mental health was. I had never heard of sadness.”

The actress from the movie Pathaan also put a link to the Live Love Laugh Foundation, which she runs to help people with mental illnesses.

In 2015, she told NDTV, “If I can change one life by speaking up and letting people know that it’s something I’ve through and that able to deal with because I had a great support system, then it will have been worth it.”

Padukone last seen in the action movie Pathaan with King Khan. She is now working on another action movie called Fighter. In Siddharth Anand’s film Fighter, Padukone and Hrithik Roshan will be seen together for the first time.
