Peshawar: District Police Officer (DPO) Mushtaq Khan said a love-struck Indian woman who crossed the border to meet her sweetheart in Upper Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had full papers and a month-long visa.
The News stated that Anju, a 35-year-old unmarried woman from Kailor, Uttar Pradesh, who flew to Upper Dir via Wagah Border, met Nasrullah, a 29-year-old resident of Kulshoin hamlet in KP’s district, on Facebook and fell in love.
She told local journalists she travelled to a competing country because she loved Nasrullah and couldn’t live without him.
She left India for Pakistan and visited Upper Dir on a visit visa.
DPO Khan said Anju with police and her Pakistan journey probed.
He said Anju had a month-long Pakistani visa.
A security officer claimed Anju and Nasrullah’s friendship also scrutinised.
A local journalist reported the Indian woman avoided the media.
When her arrival went viral on social media, several journalists hurried to Nasrullah’s residence, but they told she wasn’t there.
