Islamabad: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah claimed on Monday, a day after Imran Khan’s game of hide-and-seek, that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman jumped his residence’s wall and fled to his neighbor’s home to avoid arrest.
The minister made these remarks after a police team from Islamabad came to Lahore to arrest the PTI leader, but without a court summons. The law enforcement officials returned without making an arrest because the party told them he “wasn’t at home.”
“Yesterday, the team sent to arrest Khan encountered a great deal of drama. There are rumours that he [Khan] hid in the house of his neighbours. After some time, he emerged from somewhere and delivered a lengthy address “At a press conference in Islamabad, the minister stated.
