Webdesk: Melle Mel said that Eminem, who is from Detroit, is only famous as a singer because he is white. In response, Eminem made fun of Melle Mel in his latest song.
During a chat with The Art Of Dialogue, Mel went after the “Lose Yourself” rapper.
During the interview, he asked, “If Eminem were just another n* like the rest of us, would he be in the top five when a n* who rhymes just as well as him is 35?”
He was talking about the Billboard list of the 50 best rappers of all time.
Mel just made it to No. 48 on the chart, while Eminem was put at No. 5 on the list of all the best rappers from the last few decades.
Only Tupac, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay-Z were higher on the list than Eminem, and The Notorious B.I.G. was right behind him at No.6.
In a diss track with up-and-coming Shady Records singer Ez Mil, Eminem fired back at him.
Slim Shady raps on the song Realest, “Hip Hop has been good to me, huh? But why should I be surprised when they say that I’m only in the Top 5 because I’m white? My skin colour still holds me back, even though I should be second to none. Because I was white, they put me at number five (Nope). So they can’t put me at number one.”
