Rawalpindi: On Thursday, the military’s media wing reported that a motorcycle-riding suicide bomber killed at least nine soldiers on a military convoy in Jani Khel, Bannu District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The attack injured five soldiers, including Naib Subedar Sanobar Ali, according to Inter-Services Public Relations.

“The area cordoned off by security forces and sanitised to eliminate terrorists,” it said.

The army’s information wing further pledged that the security forces “determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism”. As well as that the “sacrifices” of “brave soldiers further strengthen” the military.

The loss of nine “valiant soldiers” to a wicked terrorist act that injured many “heartbroken” Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar.

“These actions are abhorrent. My thoughts are with the slain and injured families. Pakistan opposes terror “Interim premier added.

Terrorists’ recent advance was a “futile effort” to resume discussions, and Army Chief General Asim Munir cautioned them to surrender to the “writ of state of Pakistan before they decimated” earlier this month.

When Gen Munir met tribal elders and notables from the newly united Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts, the ISPR said that he warned them. The “interactive session” took place during the COAS visit to Peshawar.

The military’s media wing quoted Gen Munir as saying. “The surge in terrorism in recent past is futile effort on the part of terrorists to get the talks re-initiated. However, there is no option for these terrorists except to submit to the writ of state of Pakistan before they are decimated. If they persist on their wrong

The army chief reaffirmed the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and other law enforcement agencies’ anti-terrorism efforts. ISPR: “He [Gen Munir] showed resolve to finish peril of Narco, which is becoming a lifeline for these TTP khawaraj.”
