Islamabad police “fully equipped” for New Zealand tour

Islamabad: The police said that they “fully equipped” to provide “fool-proof and world-class” security. Its for the entire New Zealand cricket team when they come to Pakistan.

The Black Caps set to arrive in Pakistan today, April 9. The New Zealand cricket team is coming for the limited-overs series that will start on April 14 in Lahore.

Moreover, Inspector General of Police Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan said that the Islamabad police did a “flawlessly” job of providing the highest level of security for the visit of the English cricket team and the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2022-23.

“ICTP shall be playing a key role for provision of flawless security in collaboration with other stakeholders in Islamabad and Rawalpindi,” he promised.

The one-day international (ODI) and Twenty20 international (T20I) series will start on April 14 in Lahore. While, Rawalpindi will host two ODIs and one T20I. The visiting teams stay at a hotel in the capital, and games held at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
