Webdesk: The actor Hamza Ali Abbasi will soon return to our television screens in a project titled Jaan-e-Jahan.
On Monday, he announced his return with a teaser. “We are delighted to introduce you to the captivating world of our upcoming project Jaan-e-Jahan, which was written by Rida Bilal, directed by Qasim Ali Mureed, and stars Hamza Ali Abbasi and many others. Produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz, [it] will soon be on a television screen near you!!” he wrote, adding a special thank you to Saeed.
In the short clip, the lead, director, writer, and producers were introduced along with a poetic couplet that read, “Like a verse (from the Holy Quran), oh life of the world, I have yet to touch you with my eyes”
Abbasi is returning to television after a lengthy absence; his most recent drama, Alif, aired in 2019. His most recent film, The Legend of Maula Jatt, was released last year, and he may have sensed that people could not get enough of his on-screen persona after Noori Natt stunned us on-screen. The Punjabi film became the most successful film in Pakistani cinema and was praised internationally.
In 2019, the Mann Mayal actor announced that he would devote his life to religion instead of acting. “Had it not been for Alif’s message about God, Maula Jatt would have been my last project,” he had said.
“Despite this, I will continue to create dramas and films for my country and religion. I will attempt to use this platform to spread the type of message I believe should be conveyed.”
