Jaya Bachchan said she liked being a wife better than being an actor.

Webdesk: Jaya Bachchan said on the last episode of the season of What the Hell, Navya that after she got married, she was happier being a wife and a mother than being an actor. She went on to say that she put her family first and that it wasn’t a sacrifice at all.

Navya talked about the things women have to give up for their families, and Jaya didn’t like what she said.

“I don’t think the word’sacrifice’ is the right one for married women. I’d say you’re putting someone else’s needs, feelings, and thoughts ahead of your own. It’s not a sacrifice. I don’t think something is a sacrifice if it comes from the heart. You know you’re a smart, educated girl, so why are you saying “sacrifice”?” Jaya said.

She went on to say, “I remember when I quit working and everyone said, ‘Oh, she gave up her career for her husband and kids,’ but that wasn’t true. I was very happy to be a mum and a wife. I liked that role more than what I was doing in movies, which was the same thing over and over again. It wasn’t at all a sacrifice.”
