Webdesk: The most recent Karlovy Vary Film Festival trailer, which debuted on Friday during the opening ceremony, features the renowned actor Johnny Depp in an enthralling performance.
With a guitar case in hand, Depp approaches the Hotel Gellért in Budapest in the trailer, filmed by Ivan Zachariá. He is getting ready for a ‘interview’.
He asked a “personal question” about missing out on collecting an award at the festival in the past. The 60-year-old actor responds with a lighthearted deflection. “We’re here to talk about music, really,” before shockingly pulling out a prize from his guitar case.
Depp can seen in this on-screen cameo making playful fun of himself. It happens two years after the actor presented two films he created as the festival’s guest of honour in 2021. “Crock of Gold: A Few Rounds With Shane MacGowan” and “Minamata.”
The Hollywood Reporter quoted Zachariá as saying, “He [Depp] told me right at the start of the production that he would prefer to improvise.Although I was first surprised, it ended up being a terrific concept because Johnny ended up injecting even more of his own personality into the trailer.
Zachariá further said that Depp expressed a desire in carrying on the chat despite a waiting plane.
According to THR, the festival’s executive director, Krytof Mucha, expressed his happiness with the Depp trailer.
