Lahore: On Saturday, Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, informed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about the terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office (KPO).

Officials reported that when terrorists invaded the KPO on Friday while wearing suicide vests and brandishing automatic guns and grenades, four persons were slain along with 16 more who were injured.

After the attack at dusk, a three-hour-long gun war broke out as security personnel searched the building floor by floor for the attackers. After killing the three militants, the authorities retook the building, according to a government spokesperson.

The province chief executive gave PM Shehbaz information gathered on the assailants during a telephone chat.

The prime minister expressed his relief that there had not been significant casualties or damage. He added that the military had bravely annihilated the attackers.

He also expressed his gratitude to all the officers and authorities that participated in the operation.

PM Shehbaz committed to promote the expansion of provincial governments’ capacity to combat terrorism.

The Sindh CM’s initiative and presence on the scene were also praised by the prime minister for their spirit.
