PESHAWAR: On Saturday, a new nine-person cabinet was sworn in in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They will run the province until a new government takes over after the country’s general elections.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali gave them their oath, and CM Mohammad Azam Khan was there.

Syed Mahsood Shah, Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakheil, Justice (retd) Irshad Qaisar, Ahmad Rasool Bangash, Asif Rafiq, Dr. Najeeb Ullah, Dr. Muhammad Qasim, Justice (retd) Arshad Hussain Shah, and Syed Aamir Abdullah are the acting ministers who took an oath today.

The ministers’ jobs will revealed at a later time.

Moreover, After the swearing-in ceremony, the KP governor gave his congratulations to the new interim government.

He said that he hoped the caretaker group would use their energy to help the province grow and get better.

CM Khan’s 27-person interim cabinet put in place on January 26 of this year. Earlier this month, he asked them to resign after getting a letter from the Election Commission Pakistan about people in the government who had political ties.

Meanwhile, The electoral authority told the KP caretaker CM to “de-notify” ministers, advisers, and special aides “involved in politics” right away.

On August 11, 14 ministers and 11 advisers and special aids gave their resignations to the governor of KP.
