Webdesk: Renowned fashion designer Maria B issued an apology after receiving criticism for staging a photoshoot at a cemetery.
A member of the Abbasi family confronted the fashion designer for filming on their ancestral cemetery without permission.
Chang Khan tweeted images from the video of the session, claiming that the model was dancing on the grave of his grandfather.
As soon as the images went public, people condemned the designer for her extreme behaviour.
Following the social media reaction, Maria B issued an apology and removed the video from her Instagram account.
The idea behind our recent shoot was to showcase Bahawalpur’s unique cultural legacy, the designer stated.
“The shoot was edited and distributed without understanding the significance and holiness of the location. We appreciate everyone who brought this error to our attention, and we have taken immediate action by removing any pertinent content “She continued.
Maria B. expressed her sincere apologies to the whole Abbasi family.
Unfortunately, social media users did not accept her apology, and they proceeded to criticise her photograph.
