Webdesk: Researchers at Wiz found a problem with Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform in January.
Because of a mistake in how Azure set up, Bing hacked, and any user could access applications without permission.
The problem found in the identity and access management system for Azure Active Directory (AAD).
Researchers who logged in to their Azure accounts could change or control the search results on Bing because of this flaw. Most likely, this chance used to spread false information or run scams.
Since anyone could use other Microsoft platforms, millions of Microsoft passwords and data probably also taken.
On February 2, Microsoft found the problem and fixed it. By March 20, all of the problems that were reported later had been fixed.
