Webdesk: Twitter has officially released new API pricing structures after a lengthy delay.
The price structure has created three levels of users. The new structure provides a free tier with limited capabilities. This subscription allows users to send up to 1,500 tweets each month, but restricts access to other essential features. This tier focuses primarily on bots and testing.
The second level costs $200. This tier allows developers to send up to 3,000 tweets per month at the user level and up to 50,000 tweets per month at the app level. In addition, it allows users to view up to 10,000 tweets per month.
Pricing and constraints for the third tier, which targets commercial projects and businesses, have yet to be defined. According to the corporation, access to this category would be sufficient to meet the needs of the business and its consumers.
Twitter must still clarify access for academics and researchers that rely on this platform. But, the platform is addressing the issue.
