PESHAWAR: Former prime minister Imran Khan’s aide Pervez Khattak created Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Parliamentarians days after being expelled from PTI.
Moreover, The sources stated 57 ex-assembly members have joined the party, including former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Mahmood Khan, Shaukat Ali, and Syed Muhammad Ishtiaq Urmar.
The Khan-led PTI besieged, with its chairman facing many lawsuits and a danger of disqualification and several party officials abandoning him after May 9, when PTI activists caused mayhem and stormed army posts.
While, Jahangir Tareen, Aleem Khan, and other Khan allies created the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party in June, hurting his Punjab party.
Moreover, Khattak criticised the May 9 incidents, for which numerous accused would tried in military courts.
Pakistan defines us. “PTI finished in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” the former provincial chief minister remarked.
After the May 9 mayhem, PTI KP president Khattak resigned.
This week, the party fired him for failing to reply to a “show cause notice.”
The News reported that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) also approached Khattak.
Instead of joining a political party, Khattak formed his own.
The PTI faces a huge setback in its bid to win the forthcoming general election.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif claimed his administration would finish in mid-August and leave early.
